This is not your ordinary cemetery, most cemeteries are creepy have you on edge etc but the vibe that it give people welcoming families visiting are nice they come over and talk to you pray for you and your loved ones . They help you with water or just simply cleaning off your loved ones one resting place. They have chairs where you sit right next to your loved one. Everyone speaks and really nice to you , even the workers there. It’s crazy you can stay and visit as long as you want etc. I never got an ill feeling or creepy fleeing or just on edge it was totally different.Muslim families are such beautiful people with a good spirit. I appreciate all those people I met while visiting. Thank you all for the love support and being friendly to myself and my family as this was a difficult and sad time for us .

The staff at Clarendon Hills Cemetery was so helpful when I needed help turning over the vase at my dad’s gravesite. One of the groundskeepers, Jesse, immediately came to my dad’s gravesite and was able to pull the vase out of the ground. It was caked with dirt. He even offered to wash it out! Thanks Jesse!

Jesse and Joel were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. They went above and beyond to clean off my great grandparents vase so we could put new flowers. It’s refreshing to have such kind people in a bittersweet time.

Overall this cemetery has been a blessing to my family that have resided there, but I’m mainly upset with the fact that they remove decorations that were place for loved ones!!! I can understand if it caused problems to lawn maintenance, but at the same time it really doesn’t because I always place it right by their headstone. So is it really that hard to just remove it and place it back after done with lawn maintenance care? No, I don’t think so! That is the only thing that agitates me about this cemetery. People want their loved ones flourished especially after their time is done on this earth. Like the least we can do for them is put decor to make them standout and what not. But yall staff members have to ruin it. Change your policies!!!! Thank you!

We understand your frustration regarding the removal of decorations and appreciate you sharing your perspective. We conduct twice-yearly cleanups on March 1st and October 1st to ensure the overall beauty and maintenance of the cemetery grounds. We have signs posted at the cemetery and do posts on Facebook to remind families to pick up any decorations they wish to keep before cleanup begins. Additionally, if decorations become withered, unsightly or pose a safety risk they will be removed to help ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all visitors. To honor your loved ones, we recommend following our decoration guidelines:-Seasonal Cleanups: Please remove decorations before March 1st and October 1st to avoid removal by our staff. You can place them back once cleanup is finished.-Approved Decorations: Fresh or silk flowers in approved containers or shepherd hooks and hanging baskets -Placement: We kindly ask that decorations stay within the boundaries of the plot to avoid interfering with maintenance or neighboring graves. We hope this clarifies your concerns regarding decoration removals.
